Markman Posted June 5, 2004 Report Share Posted June 5, 2004 I think SL knew Danny had failed (which he had so where we get this "proven" from I just do not see - he had a good squad, spent money and still did not take us up and his final team selection was appalling) - I read between the lines - SL wanted Danny to go and the financial angle was the one to give him the shove. I am certainly more hopeful about next season - I trust SL to make a decision that will take us up automatically - whether it is Leroy, Leroy and Tins or whoever. The squad is good enough we just need to grab games by the throat a bit more. Those of you who still stand by Danny think hard - how many chances must the Guy have? Taking us up is what mattered, he had time, came close but did not do it - he failed even though he is a nice guy - cheerio Onward and upward - City will be promoted next season! I have not had this feeling of such optimism for what seems like an age. the 4th June 2004 will be etched into my heart for eternity, the day my Club stopped treading water.
