Players Reaction On Twitter

And Its Smith

Whilst i understand your point

You need to be careful not to misrepresent wes as a player.

He would never post such an unprofessional quote.

You can get away with it, but he cant.

Said in jest, as I'm sure you know.

I've wanted Wes to at least come on, if not start, for about 10 games now....

@AFlint5: Would like to wish Sean O'Driscoll the very best of luck in the future.. I can only say good things about the man!

@JordanWynter: Gutted.

@DSWilliams_: Gutted

Pack retweeted Williams's gutted tweet

@OfficialJET10: Wishing Sean O'Driscoll all the best in the future was a pleasure to work for you again. Never no could be back under you again sometime

Nothing from Bobby Reid

@joe_bryan179: Long old day!

A. Flint - Not good enough SOD only manager he would get a game under

J. Winter - Reserve team player, no doubt on good money

D.S Williams - Give him that one

Pack - There was a reason no -one else wanted him

Jet - Doubt there is another manager who would put up with him, goals been welcome though

Bobby Reid, Joe Bryan - telling!!

Perhaps if they would have pulled their finger out earlier their mate would still be there!

Total bollix. The one thing that team didn't lack was effort. How many times did you see them play?

Of course Williams would be sad. SOD rescued him from reserve team football and made him a first team fixture here, where he's thrived.

I don't dispute Sean's new player policy, just his tactics and motivational skills.

At the risk of accucsations of naivety, a lot of these younger ladss may have seen SOD as a father figure.

Appologies for the lack of cynisism but does Joe Bryan strike you as an incinsere lad?

Everything's scrutinised to the bones these days. I know SOD came across in the media as dour, but I wouldn't be suprised if those that worked under him found him more relational.

I've worked under miserable sods, but they've had time for me and been paternal.

Maybe there reciprocating that loyalty even if they're a bit bland in their expression of it.

Thry're footballers, not poets or philosophers.
