BUTOR
Possibility. Cheap and a big young prospect who is working extremely well with the u18s, plus he is the nationality home to the best international team in the world, and a former coach of a club who narrowly and unfairly lost in a champions league semi-final last year! Obviously a wild shout but I can see it happening, seems the sort of thing our board would do.

Sydneybcfc
I'm amazed his name gets banded around so much, are we really that small time that a 27yo who has probably got more football manager experience than club experience is touted for our top job? Highly rated as a youth coach how do you think the older players will take to a kid telling them what to do? I say kid in jest as i'm only low 30's but can you really see the likes of Carey or any other player over 30 listening to a snot nosed kid? People are blinded by the fact hes Spanish which automatically makes him amazing apparently! Madness
Lordofthebling
I can see this happening... Impressed with recent results with the U18s, young, knows how to bring through youth players, possession football... I'm sure he is impressing a very young chief exec. Only issue is, isn't tins his boss? Well then his boss didn't do that well did he! But as said above. I can see this happening...
Red Ferret
Giving someone a managerial job just because they are Spanish is mental He is 27 yrs old ffs!
BristolCity1992
Howe was only 29 when he got the Bournemouth job. I'm not saying that this will happen but it's not unthinkable.

tinman-is-god
Wasn't AVB an international manager at 21? I'm all for this appointment With all due respect that was for the British Virgin Islands which doesn't really count. Mark Watson's brother was manager of an international side in his 20's too, but someone of equally low standing.
alexukhc
Yeah cuz we are flying high right now aren't we? Such a big club, sorry I forgot just how good we are
Aizoon
How old was Clough when he went into management?
Sydneybcfc
Apart form AVB all those mentioned were former first team players, even AVB spent seasons as assistant manager before getting a top job. And now people are calling for a guy with no more than U18 experience to run a first team?
MichaelRobartes
He's doing a good job where he is and he's not been doing that for very long either.
bcfctim
With respect, the only reason he's even being mentioned is because he's Spanish. He's been here 2 months! Let him stay with the u18s and continue his good work.
catcott_red1
How old was Clough when he went into management? Clough was 30 when he took over at Hartlepools United. After he retired due to not being able to recover from ACL damage. He was 36 when Derby won the Division 1 title.
Pickle Rick
with tinman as his no2? I think Tinman is working to his strengths. I'd rather we didn't remove him from a job he is clearly very good at and he also seems very focused and committed to his current role.
JoenotquiteJordan
I think Gary White seems to have all the attributes were looking for, Pillars, experience massively improving poor sides, 10 year coaching plans etc. Only 39, would appear to me that he could be a good first team coach for someone like us! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_White_(football)

ciderbeans
Got to be Carlos Anton having read the recent interview with him and tins on the natch wall. Saying he 'will' be a manager at some point. Fits the bill in every way only for his lack of experience in a managerial role. Along with his Spanish roots, it can only benefit us. Wouldn't mind getting him on a long term an giving him the time to turn bristol city into a force

ciderbeans
You would hope the board can see he is the future. If he's not ready quite yet then fair enough but he fits the 5 pillars and is ambitious. Will play our youth in the right way and at the right times. I would be confident as a supporter under his leadership
Port Said Red
You would hope the board can see he is the future. If he's not ready quite yet then fair enough but he fits the 5 pillars and is ambitious. Will play our youth in the right way and at the right times. I would be confident as a supporter under his leadership I wish there were more comments like this on here. I am not saying he is THE candidate, but he is in the mold of the kind of Manager we should be looking for. Young with bright ideas and knows that you can't treat footballers like soldiers going into battle but allows them to express themselves.
