Vincent Vega
In all seriousness why would any self respecting or ambitious manager want to come here, what with the financial restraints , and a board that clearly has not got a clue what it wants or needs. So that leaves the next lot. guys below are level that will have everybody saying what does this bloke know he's got no experience or those who are out of work and are simply after the pay day.... Just a thought .

fka dagest
1) It's a job. 2) They want to be involved in football. yes, it's pretty obvious isn't it? The questions asked on here never fail to amaze me. Lots of managers would want our vacancy for lots of good reasons.

glynriley
In all seriousness why would any self respecting or ambitious manager want to come here, Its a big job for someone, especially an up and coming manager what with the financial restraints , They are the same at every club in this division. and a board that clearly has not got a clue what it wants or needs. I'll give you that one! So that leaves the next lot. guys below are level We're in the bottom 3 of division 3, what do you think our level is? that will have everybody saying what does this bloke know he's got no experience or those who are out of work and are simply after the pay day.... Surely you can say that about most managers. SOD was out of work when we employed him. Just a thought . This could be the most important appointment this club has made for 31 years. I hope they take their time and indentify the right man but there are no guarantees when employing a manager. But we are a reasonably attractive proposition, despite where we find ourselves in the league. I believe our players to be better than that league position indicates as well, hopefully they'll prove it under the new man. (or woman)
ROKERITE
There is no better time to become manager of a club than when it is at a much lower point than it would be expected to be. Peter Taylor got extremely lucky a few years ago when he took over Hull City near the bottom of the fourth tier for example. Bristol City is a very attractive opening right now. A bad move for a manager is succeeding someone who has taken a club to the zenith of its aspirations, such as the mug who followed Adkins at Scunny. The Kaiser
One word : challenge. This club does have potential. Look how many went to Wembley. Look how the place was packed out for the promotion push. The right man could bring that and a football guy with ambition will see it.

People will be fighting over this role. The new man only has produce something between poor and average results to be an improvement on SOD. Really, it's no lose situation isn't it?
