Barrs Court Red
The locals would probably vote against that too, as the current group of objectors are different from the ones that campaigned against the Mem being rebuilt.
Rich
How about a rugby ground, as a memorial to the fallen heroes of the 1914-1918 war? Now the question is, what shall we call it?

IdliketoRogerMoore
In all seriousness both ideas are better than a sainsburys but they still shouldn't be aloud to sell a war memorial!

Swede
The original idea . . A Memorial to Bristol's fallen service men and women from the great war is by far the best. The thought that this important piece of Bristol Heritage is in the hands of a second rate excuse of a club who seem to pop up and grow like a fungus anywhere when someone is in trouble. I'm surprised they haven't pitched up at Fratton Park.
Paddy31
Who ever came with the ideas has a fantastic imagination, but very little clue, i think. A 200m velodrome would be as useful as a 50m football The costings are the best bit though. How did s/he come up with those?
