Flint = New Striker

We are in desperate need of target man to play alongside Baldock and perhaps the answer is staring at us in the face in Aiden Flint.

He is big and powerful and pretty much everything in the air. It won't be pretty by due our shocking league position we need wins and not pretty football at the moment.

If we want a big, slow bloke up top, Marlon Harewood has scored a f- site more goals than Flinty and is probably harder. I'd certainly not mess!

I like the Baldock/Burns combo personally. Two fast uns, pulling the defenders hither and thither.

It's not unheard of tbh. Dion Dublin began his career as a centre back

As did Chris Sutton.

Certainly he would work as a Niall Quinn type target man knocking the balls down to Baldock as Flint wins pretty much everything in the air.

Can't see him scoring many but IIRC NQ didn't either, just provided the knock-downs so Kevin Philips could score.

Flint is lacks composure, pace, touch and balance.

He is highly overrated IMO, little more than a donkey.

All he does is hoof it back with the inside of his foot, or stick it in the back of his own net.

He is good winning balls in the air, but not great a directing headers.

He would be a joke upfront, better to stick with Taylor or Harewood.
