Rowley Birkin
"We are always looking for potential new investors and that never stops,no matter who the owner of the club is." I don't understand why Steve Lansdown doesn't find someone to share the burden, and bring in fresh impetus and ideas. Doesn't seem 2 minutes ago Reading were playing before 3-4000 fans in a delapidated Elm Park, whilst we laughed at them.

Chappers
Vincent Tan? The Bristol Robins? Blue kit? It's not magic money, it usually comes at a price, and as we have proved in great style, splashing the cash is no guarantee of success. Best bet now is to rebuild, stabilise the club, utilise the Academy, and once we are moving forward, invest wisely, hopefully using profits from sales of players. How is it smaller places than us have more support than us I'd guess because they are a one-club town with a large and wealthy outlying catchment area for fans. The nearness to London, makes them attractive to many players too.

How is it smaller places than us have more support than us They are probably of interest to investors because they have a team within touching distance of the Premiership and have a modern stadium. We are within touching distance of the bargain basement division and have a dump of a ground.
Barrs Court Red
Can you imagine meeting the board with a view to handing over money. One vice chairman has an IQ that is in double figures, the other doesnt like people so probably wouldn't meet you. As the conversation continues, you learn that another organisation that the club has no control of is actually managing the redevelopment of its only asset. Lets be honest, you'd be on your toes and not look back.

How is it smaller places than us have more support than us I don't know the answer, but I would hazard a guess that before they moved to their nice new shiny ground in 2000 (?) the average attendances at Elm Park were lower than at Ashton Gate? hippy273
Another investor would probably want a say in how the club is run.................... Well it isn't being run properly at the moment, we could gamble that as well as the sacking of SOD.
