David Brent
Law 12 already states: Dissent by word or action is a cautionable offence (i.e. any disagreement with the referee whatsoever). Using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures is a sending-off offence (this includes calling the referee a cheat, or biased). You wouldn't be able to tell, though, would you? The behaviour of players towards refs and their assistants is one of the biggest issues I have with the game. Time to enforce that law properly. No ref, no game. Aizoon
How about "up to 10 yards in any direction"? So perhaps putting the ball in a more central area if it suited. Or if the free kick was right on the edge of the box where it is difficult to get the ball up and over the wall and still hit the target you move it BACK a few yards. Now THAT I do like. Aizoon
I'd like to see the fourth official be in charge of a stadium clock that everyone can see. When play is stopped because of an injury, sub or time wasting, then everyone can see that the clock is stopped etc.. Half time and final whistle then to be announced with a hooter. At the moment, everyone just assumes the ref has added on the correct amount of time. And it would stop the ref playing on until West Brom score against us
