Desso Posted June 5, 2004 Report Share Posted June 5, 2004 Pleased to read that Tins is hoping to continue to play this season. The thought of Murray coming back fit again and Tins not being there to hit him with those equisite 50 yard (some with backspin) passes would be awful. This combination brought us countless goals the season before last and I hope it happens again but I fear that being player / manager at this level is probably asking too much. O.K. in Conference 1(Div.3) and the lower leagues but surely not at this level with an inexperienced 2nd in command as well. O.K. Dennis Wise has had success but he was a Prem. player dropping down a division and probably having experienced, seen it all, done it all staff around him. Anyway I think Tins will do areally good job for us and as long as he can distance himself from the players enough to kick ass bigtime when needed he will be O.K. I'm not a big fan of Caskey but he could have done the central midfield role, providing they could keep him off the pies.His passing and shooting is almost as good as Tins: perhaps we can get him back.
