Welcome To The Jungle
This is what we lack in abundance. How many times did we pass it easy and over hit it slowing us down (not counting high passes as the wind was about tonight) How many touches resembled that of an inappropriate Uncle How many times did we put the ball right across their 6 yard area and no one touched it. How many times were our crosses just lumped into the box. The mentality seems to be that of 'that'll do'. I've done my job, now what? No, when you take that touch, make it the best you can, pass as accurately as you can, every time, even when your passing across the back 4. Cross with conviction and and shoot with conviction. Too many times you'd think it's a training game in July. It's what separates the best from the rest. What made it worse was that Coventry had two preventable chances and two goals. Sammy did well to hit the post to be fair to him when their keeper did his best Frank Fielding impression, and as earlier stated, the ball flashed across their 6 yard box so many times.
