On the basis that the players are rated out of 10, one might think that 1=shocking and 9 = outstanding. Given that the midway point is 5, which presumably is an average performance, the Evening Post appears to have only rated about three players as below average in 20 years (I think Steve Jones once got a 3, but that is the only one I've ever seen). The real ratings for Tuesday should have been something like: Moore 4 El-Abd 2 Flint 5 Williams 5 Wagstaff 6 Elliott 3 Gillet 4 Bryan 2 Cunningham 7 JET 3 Baldock 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
