WellRedPhil
Heard what I presume to be the Dad talking to a steward after the game and he said something along the lines of "I dish out hundreds of pounds for season tickets for us to watch this shit every week the least we deserve is a f ** king ball". Not a bad point!
TNBT
Hope it gets Signed think the kid deserves that much now, also sounds like the stewards was right eejits & need to get a life thought they're there to stop trouble not cause it.
Dollymarie
Am glad it was sorted out. Was only going by what I saw, which was a kid being thrown the ball, then shortly after a man running off with it. It's not really a massive leap to think someone had nicked it off him. However, I am more than happy to apologise and glad your son gets to keep the ball.

CiderJar
From what I saw :-Boy gets ball from Fielding. Dad takes ball, Bloke tries to nick it from Dad, Dad starts offering the bloke out before pegging it up the stairs, boy following closely. Stewards lose the plot and start chasing after him. Many City fans try and talk them round. Saw Dad outside with ball in hand and son by is side. Dad being questioned by police. Policeman says (as angry mob descends. We've had a phone call from the club, they want their ball back" Much hilarity all round, situation diffused, well done Officer Dibble .
Aizoon
He will get the ball mid week I spoke to the Copper holding the ball. Said there was complaint of a scuffle over the ball. Added the club are "happy to give the ball to the kid midweek when its calmed down". Saw the stewards trying to give chase and bark info down their walkie-talkies. Looked a right pathetic bunch of Jobsworth Yes. Taking a football off a kid is just about their level.
