Port Said Red
There was a thread on here the other day about that african player who was claiming to 21 and looked about 40. To me Luke Shaw looks closer to 28 than 18, if he was african would questions be asked?
Atyeo Benj
I think he has a very mature hair cut which could be the trick to his ageing looks
westred1
I met him in a club in Southampton just before Xmas and he is huge!! I'm three years older but he definitely looks early-to-mid twenties.

The Dolman Pragmatist
There's always a worry with players who develop physically very early that they are flattering to deceive because they are so much stronger than their year group, and when the other players mature and catch up with them they fade. The obvious example of this is Marvin Brown, who looked five years older than the young players around him when he was 16, but went consistently backwards as other players matured. However, Shaw does seem to be a genuine talent.
BristolCity1992
Shaw's been performing in the main team and that shows he's up to it physically.

MichaelRobartes
Baines? In last night's game. I assume that Baines wasn't involved last night because Roy feels that he has to make a decision between Cashley and Shaw as Baines is his first choice. Don't see the benefit of starting Cashley though, it's not as if he doesn't know what he can do.

downendcity
Couldn't help thinking back to 1966. Moore, Peters and Hurst from less fancied WHam helped England win the world cup. Could it be that Shaw, Lallana and Lambert from less fancied Southampton could help do the same this time around?

Rodriguez could be in the mix too.
Negan
he looked a very decent player last night. Think after the world cup we should drop the old guard and bed in our new young stars. Just stick with them. Something like Butland Walker Caulker Smalling Shaw Walcott Wilshere Lallana Sterling Sturridge OX

Robin1988
Looking post World Cup, which is pointless anyway because anyone could break through at any time, wouldn't be surprised to see: Hart; Johnson, Cahill, Jones, Shaw/Baines; Henderson, Wilshere/Gerrard; Walcott, Rooney, Sterling; Sturridge. Assuming Sterling continues as he has this season and United finally put Jones where he belongs.

Just stick with them. Something like Butland Walker Caulker Smalling Shaw Walcott Wilshere Lallana Sterling Sturridge OX Jesus boss. There are 3 or 4 in there who don't deserve to be in the squad! Agree with the principle but neither Walker, Caulker or Smalling are good enough. Rooney in theory should be coming up to his peak and Hart still has years left. Bit reactionary.
