Eco
Might be my memory playing up but weren't both Luke & Clarky's goals from at least the same distance as Rooner's ?
Guest
Might be my memory playing up but weren't both Luke & Clarky's goals from at least the same distance as Rooner's ? Clarky's was even better as he managed to do it from his shin!
Luxo Jr.
Clarkson's wasn't anywhere near as far out, more like 35 yards.
123456789000
Clarksons was an absolute mis kick, at least Rooney actually meant to score his.
Super
Still think Beckhams was better than them all
nickolas
Wiltshire's was class, v Tranmere i think? Very similar to Shreks, chest, turn and volley. Clarksons was a slow skied effort that i thought Weale shouldve saved. All good goals though.
Guest
Cantona's effort v Chelsea is very similar to Rooneys (although hit the bar)
Carey 6
Steven Davies header But George Boyds for Peterborough a couple of seasons ago was probably the best I've seen

pongo88
Are there any old stagers out there who can remember Terry Bush's goal from the right wing?
italian dave
If Clarkson scored that for rovers would it of been so good? No, of course not. Stupid question!! But, as OP said, Luke Wilkshire's was every bit as good as Rooney and more.
screech
Goals don't count unless they are scored by big players for big clubs in big divisions on big weekends of football. Listen to talksport every day and you'll never need to watch any other game of football outside of 4 or 5 clubs in the premier league. They'll be milking this for at least 2 days. AshtonGreat
Rooney's goal was good but how many times have we seen him try that and miss? One of them's bound to go in eventually. Messi scores wonder goals every other week
Port Said Red
Remember the time when this guy used to be a contender for goal of the month almost every month? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ws2qjN3G1JY I am sure there are a few on here who would consider his lack of chances at England level justified because he didn't "run around enough". Goal 2 in this montage makes Rooneys goal look like a hopeful punt BTW.

Kid in the Riot
Who was the lad who took a quick free kick for Wigan a couple of years ago and blasted it in from the halfway line? That was an incredible goal. Think it may of been at Sunderland
