Gazinpeace
The length of a pitch must be between 100 yards (90m) and 130 yards (120m) and the width not less than 50 yards (45m) and not more than 100 yards (90m).# From BBC sport website. I believe yours is pretty big (ooh err Mrs)
TNBT
Cheers, know we've got a big pitch & like you hope it stays that size if not the maximum allowed. Do you know if you have to keep the pitch the same size all season or if you can adjust it to whatever you wish to play game to game, if you can change it then surely you could make it difficult for teams if they play a certain way. Also would be good to know if our training pitches are the same because if our kick takers are practicing on a different size it might mean their placement is wrong on match day but their kicking would need to be consistent in the first place. TNBT
Hope when they rebuild Ashton Gate they make it so we can extend the pitch if we want to, if we do that make sure our players are fitter it should in theory give us an edge on other teams, hope they consider that. I know a few years ago our pitch was one of the biggest in the country anyway, im sure it still is. No need to make it any bigger!
TNBT
If we make ours bigger & it tires their players out quicker surely there's a little need, just thinking of things we can do that can help us. If other teams are use to smaller pitches than ours it should help us, also if we're already playing on a pitch the maximum size when we go away to bigger pitches it will help. At one point in the 80s, ours was only behind Wembley in terms of square meterage

pride of the west
Didn't Stoke play about with their pitch when they were in Europe to take advantage of the delap throw? I seem to remember them reducing the width for euro matches
