There have been a number of games recently -- Peterborough, Walsall, Notts County -- where there has been a lot of good approach work by the opposition only for our defence to repel everything thrown at them. Today Notts were really good and with some of the defences we have put out in recent years and earlier this season we would surely have been well beaten. Not taking praise from the rest of the team but if they have faith in their defence they are freer to play their own game and so their all round game has improved. The only problem with all this is that they are not our players (barring Williams) ....yet! So so necessary to get a good and settled defence for next year.
