bristolcitysweden
Club seems to be investing money in a computer program for scouting. Anyone understand how that would work and if it is a sound investment? I believe we would be fine with ten scrap of papers for each position and when a possible target is no longer considered for whatwever reason that scrap of paper should be replaced by another one. It might be great fun with a computer program but it seems to be a very, very basic one. Can't you get a similar one for peanuts? Do we really have to develop one by ourselves? Surely they would only have to pay one technician to develop a database that the scouts feed back to?
JammyOne
I've written one... #include <iostream> int main() { std::cout << "Take a punt on whoever - sign them up on high wages and then rebuild next year"; return 0; }
Welcome To The Jungle
To be fair the 'Football Manager' database can be a good starting point, and it is used by many clubs including Everton. Obviously you don't just sign players off it but the database, as all stats are, gives you a starting point.
