It was no doubt the day the manager and the players got to 'fully understand each other' in the dressing room. So Cotterill will see a return there as a significant match, and not only because they are one of the more fancied teams in the league. The defeat, the manner of it, and aftermath, will no doubt have been referred to by the players privately many times since and they will want to ensure there is no repeat of the dire display last time out. They won't want to incur Cotterill's wrath again, so If nothing else we can expect a spirited and battling performance in August.
