B-Rizzle
We all know that the new desso pitch was installed in order to make the pitch stronger and more durable so that it can withstand both football and rugby use on a weekly basis without compromising our great playing surface. It has been widely publicised that this is the same technology used at Wembley, Emirates and Etihad stadiums. This is all well and good but as far as I'm aware no rugby is played at the Emirates or Etihad and the use of Wembley is sporadic. Does anyone know of any stadiums that are shared by football and rugby teams that also have desso pitches as this would give us a more realistic comparison of how the pitch might hold up in the winter when it's being used three times a week? Welcome To The Jungle
Swansea play some of the best passing football too with ospreys tearing it up every other week. We'll be fine
B-Rizzle
Thanks guys, all their pitches have been tip top as well. I just had a look at both ours and bristol rugby's fixtures and there's only two occasions where the rugby club play at home the day before us, one is at the end of September and one in April so shouldn't be too bad weather wise hopefully. Bat Fastard
My mate supports Watford and tells me that the rugby does degrade the surface and that it impedes passing football. I did point out that Watford were famous for being a route one team - so it would not make much difference to their style of play.
