Rules Of The Game

anyway - last season a player took an indirect free kick quickly, deliberately kicked it against the goalie and scored. Certainly a div 2 game.

The laws of the game define the difference between direct and indirect. Within these rules are additional "decisions of the FIFA Board, which go on to say.........."a player using a deliberate trick to circumvent the law while he is taking a free kick is cautioned for unsporting behavoir and shown a yellow card, and the kick retaken."

So on the basis this was a trick surely he should have been booked. Was it QPR?

We was robbed!

Are you talking about Plymouth v Swindon when the Swindon keeper handled the ball from a back pass?

He gave the ball to Evans who who was about 6 yards out. Evans took the free kick but the keeper tried to save it and it went in.
