Come On Own Up, Who Did This?

No. I think you are wrong there.

I thought, based on your previous posts on this and other threads, that we both agree people should be judged for what they are: not on their race, religion, colour or wealth.

And by the way, for what it is worth (and despite SX225's earlier comments - I actually had a Lambretta 150) your user name amuses me (as do those of Mike Hunt and Rudolph).

That is exactly how I feel, My comment is more about the way that racism, fear and hatred are being encouraged and facilitated by the right-wing media and that fear is, in my opinion capitalised on by the right-wing of politics and economics.

Would the neo-conservatives really be as popular at the moment if they weren't viewed as 'tough on immigration' by the electorate? Their economics don't add up and they describe themselves as Thatcherites!!

But like you say. I firmly believe that every person is equal, every person has the same capabilities deep within them and everyone is free to make their own decisions. It is those decisions that should be the basis for my opinion of them (Gas heads aside, of course).

At the end of the day, we are all the same. There is nothing other than our actions that differentiate between us all, black, brown, white or turquoise.

Racism is fuelled by instances like Rotherham and Rochdale, which gives the right wing opportunities to say 'see what happens', it is fuelled by the fact both Rochdale and Rotherham occurred and proliferated under a so called labour government and has been covered up by liberal and labour councils, it is fuelled by the fact that at the last election labour in a desperate attempt to deflect the failure of their immigration policy claimed that talk about immigration was racist, there is a recurring theme here concerning mainly white middle classes deeming what is and isn't racist and in the case of Rotherham and Rochdale the rape of vulnerable children was deemed to be a racist hot potato by mainly over paid white middle classes in the 3 pathetic organisations involved.

This isn't about racism at all and never was it is about the law of the land and upholding the law of the land even when faced by people trying to cover it up under a banner of false racism.

people waiting for flights to syria or iraq I expect,

long overdue and the person who did it should be made a lord

I did Politics in my younger years at A Level. Went to see Galloway speak in London near Westminster Abbey not long after his Big Brother appearance. He lasted 2 mins before bottles of p!ss were being chucked at him and he was escorted off.

A shame as I wanted to ask him why he panders to his Muslim constituents rather than the needs of his own people.

I hope the c*** gets what's coming to him. Not welcome in England, let alone his native Scotland.

Such a strange concept that, Phil. Judging individuals by their own actions as opposed to their skin colour or beliefs.

I've too know Muslims who have had absolutely no trouble 'assimilating'. Infact, I've never had the displeasure of meeting an immigrant who hasn't come here to abide by our rules.

It's so important to remember that these horrible, vile excuses for human beings who have committed these crimes are not the norm. They are a distinct minority. Muslims make up over 1billion people ffs! It's just convenient to make out that they are all bad... it creates hatred and fear, a hatred and fear that the right wing politicians capitalise on. Seeing our hatred and fear they claim they'll 'do something about it', grabbing our votes and our power... Only then does it become apparent that their main agenda is widening the divide between poor and rich.

It's been the same story for all of history. Rule through fear.

Some Muslims need to be hated and feared. They will cut your left wing head off if they get the chance.

His own people? What the hell does that mean? His constituents are his people, no matter their colour FFS.

Some Christians need to be hated and feared. They will shoot up your schools, murder your blacks and gays and Jews and blah blah.

How about we stick to " THE WORLD HAS SOME BAD PEOPLE IN IT. THEY'RE A MULTITUDE OF COLOURS AND CREEDS"

I think that covers it.

I haven't mentioned race or colour. Last I checked Islam was an ideology.

And if you really want me to list Galloways various examples of pandering to Muslims, ranging from banning Christmas lights to not holding military parades for returning Iraq veterans then I will.

Perhaps it's people like yourself who always play the race card which is why extremism and anti-UK hatred continues to flourish

Draw a bar chart with two columns. In one bar add up all people killed in the name of Christianity by Christians include Christian sectarianism use a time frame if the last 20 years. In the other do the same but this time for Islam.

Then decide if both religions have some moral equivilancy.

you can't have two columns as there are too many variations of islam to list,

what it comes down to is reglion and the nut jobs who take it too far, many things are done in the name of relgion but carried out by deeply disturbed people who would probilly carry it out if they believed in side-show bob as being all powerful,

Still don't understand all this; none of our biggest scandals or crimes (Hillsborough cover up, Moores murderers, Jimmy Saville etc) should be judged by social class, political party or even current social conscience - but they obviously are!

Justice should be based on it's transcendent moral value.

I will try to simplify it then, Hillsborough for instance, the only way that every single agency Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade, local council, UK government who all catastrophically failed and lied either on the day or the succeeding days could have maintained their failings and lies is because there was a mass cover up and how do we know this? because until this very latest of enquiries into Hillsborough there have been no whistle blowers not one, which is pretty unbelievable and then look at the hierarchy of all of these agencies, overwhelmingly white, overwhelmingly middle class and overwhelmingly male and then look at the fact an overwhelming amount of that hierarchy will be freemasons which is overwhelmingly white, overwhelmingly middle class and 100% all male.

As for your last sentence, yes it should sadly Rotherham and Rochdale and Jimmy Saville seem prove otherwise.

Ask yourself 2 questions, firstly do you believe that it would be racist to properly investigate the systematic rape of 1,400 girls over a period of years? and if your answer is no, the 2nd question must be why did senior police officers, senior social workers and a labour council all believe it would be considered racist?.

I shall try to simplify the question. How has emphasising a majority of white, middle class and male cover up of a scandal, not also emphasised that somehow ethnicity, social class and gender is of relevance to you in your judgement?

of course it is FFS because the ethnicity especially has made the whiteys worry more about being branded a 'possible' racist, than doing the duty like carrying out the law of the land 'without fear or favour' that they are highly paid to do and meanwhile 1,400 young girls have suffered.

PS:- Have you got a better explanation as to how the Hillsborough cover up involved every single agency/politician, with no whistle blowers?.

Put all the variations of each religion together. Methodists and Catholics in one bar . Sunni and Shia in the other. Simple. See who has the most killers and see which is the most peaceful religion?

Have you got any evidence to support the first paragraph, and especially the first sentence? Or is it your mere opinion based on specific, news worthy, cases?

My answer to your question is that it happened due to cross-agency and sadly, apparent, institutional corruption. I don't see how that is relevant to the first statement about ethnicity, though.

Corruption? you will have to explain that nonsense i'm afraid, corruption implies that the whole of Rotherham social services (who were involved in the case), the whole of the South Yorkshire police (who were involved in the case) and the whole of Rotherham council, were being paid money/gifts to hush the whole scandal up, who is exactly was paying them this corruption money/gifts?. Not only ridiculous but wholly baseless.

Perhaps you should read this, it's the official INDEPENDENT enquiry into the events of this scandal released 2 weeks ago and although I cannot claim to have read it all I have not yet found the word corruption once but found the word ethnicity quite a lot, especially from social workers who were warned (by the their seniors) not to mention ethnicity whilst talking or reporting about this scandal, is that specific enough, of course i'm sure that this report could have been compiled by a corrupt or even racist person, whose name is Professor Alexis Jay by the way, I thought i'd leave that particular door open for you to explore.

and this is what happens when you fail to engage people who dare to ask the difficult questions about immigration and how it affects the area that they actually live in, even life long labour supporters are branded as bigots and even the incumbent prime minister was running scared and stopped all debate during the last election claiming it to be racist.

dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery = what the first search engine gave me for 'corruption'

That doesn't necessarily mean fraudulence, just dishonesty (by those in power).

That what has happened and is still happening, both in terms of the initial crime and the handling of it on a horrible scale, is being done by any ISIS member, a white middle class boy or any religion, race, or creed is irrelevant.

Well go on clutching at your straws my friend, you said ethnicity and it is mentioned quite a bit in the 'independent' report but I still haven't seen the word corruption, so you must believe the report is flawed/worthless then?, but i'm sure you are right.
