Desso
When Tinnion plays next season, does he have the armband or could he nominate someone else? The way things are going he will probably have to make the tea at half time as well.
elko
He'll probably pick someone else, for example Dennis Wise is not captain of Milwall.
Lordofthebling
um, surely the Doc, who is captain now...?!?! Will tinns even pick himself??
John-0
Well I for one hope it will be Tommy, we see in almost every game that it is him who is leading by example, with the amount of effort he puts in. Tinman doesn't need to much to do.

Desso
So if thats the case we'll have the manager telling Tommy what to do and vice versa. That should be interesting if Tommy gets a bit heated.

Lita For Congo
Tins didnt want the Armband, hense why The Doc is club captain.
Desso
OK the Doc. might be captain but surely in name only. If Tinns. is on the pitch wouldn't he decide who would take a penalty or which big defender went up for corners etc. Imagine if the ref. called the two captains together because things were getting rough, the Doc would presumably have to report to Tinns what the ref had said. Weird situation.
Guest Neo
Nothing is different. If the Manager is on the bench or on the pitch, he directs play and changes (along with his assistant) and will ask the captain what was said in ref conversations etc. when a suitable break in play happens (Doc was often going over to the bench to report/discuss matters). Surely, the Manager being on the pitch only increases the ease of this sort of communication? In short, segregation of duties is not affected by the Managers location during the game. As for Tins didn't want the arm-band. At the Tins night, he was adamant that he wanted to be Captain and was upset that he wasn't. Certainly didn't get the impression he had turned down the offer. Guest bristolbred
Doc to remain Captain!!, Can imagine the conversations on the pitch though!!, so we should have tiny microphones so we can evesdrop!!, Tinman; "what did you that for, chopping down their player in front of the Ref!!". Tommy; "###### Ref!, what do they ###### know about ###### football!!, it was a ###### fair challenge, i got to the ###### ball first and the ###### cheating ******* fell over!!", Tinman;"I'm going to have to fine you a weeks wages for the bad language Tom, as you have to set a good example to the kids in the crowd!!".
