Taxi driver was clueless and took us miles out of the City to the wrong hotel, we thought we'd cut our losses and just get another taxi from the wrong Holiday Inn to the one we were staying at. Whilst waiting for our taxi 'ding' goes the lift and out pops David Pleat with a lady about 30 years his junior! He clocked my City polo as walked past to escort the lady out to her taxi, he must've wondered what three city fans were doing in the lobby at 2 in the morning....
