WTFiGO!?!
Or the ramblings of somebody who sees the nonsense of the internet for what is.The Internet is 90% porn, 8% football fans taking the piss out of each other so it's only actually 3% nonsense if you think about it. It is true that the inhibitions of people in the physical world are over-ridden in the cyber world, thus it is full of exaggerated expression akin to people being a bit tipsy. Atmosphere at Swindle has been disappointing on all my trips there (3), incidentally. And no question, the atmosphere in general at football has been quashed beyond recognition since I first started going. City losing left me in a low mood all evening, though. This can only be explained by passion.

Thank God, this doesn't happen very often!

It made me daughters happy anyway. Though if my eldest YouTubes the clip she shot of the 6-year-old forcing me to do a quickstep with her around the cottage to the strains of Don't Feel Like Dancing by the Scissor Sisters, I may have to leave the country for shame... RedorDead BCFC
Is it common practice in Swindle for a ruck in the tunnel? Strange that the recorder was there just as it was about to start. Plus with those extra fingers you of thought it could of held the camera more steady and helped the 14 year old with the singing. I hope you have not used your best angry face of today when you posted that. Telling somebody to crawl back into a hole ... Perhaps that childish behaviour, along with the rest of the hot air could be better used creating some real noise at an away game. Forget Swindon players rolling around like fairies given the ritual puffing out of chests played out on the internet Swindon fans should have expected a planet of sound in the away end. Maybe guff is all City fans have ..

Maybe guff is all City fans have .. If it's guff it's a lot more than the Swindon fans who were pitiful yesterday. As bland a set of fans as I have ever witnessed. No colour, no humour, no songs of note. They were like a bunch who were awaiting the grim reaper.

No colour, no humour and that could have been the away end. Any visitor to the derby would have left thinking it was meh v meh. Any visitor to this site would have seen the Big City coating off everything in Wiltshire from ponds to roundabouts. They are all inbreads [sic], yerp in Wiltshire ... Even JA and RN! Well holding hands up the Big Citys fans didn't bring that much at all ...

Bazooka Joe
What did you find disappointing? Thought we could've been more vocal at times but it can be hard to generate an atmosphere in an end with no roof. All the players (and Cotterill) got a great reception at the end and rightly so, we are all right behind them ..... not to mention a scabby ground with no soul. Cowshed
Are you sure that you're on the right forum only this one is intended for City supporters? Don't see much wrong in fans who attended an away match stating that the support of the team was a disappointment. That support is something we as fans can affect rather than endlessly opining over team selection, or the merits of a Wiltshire Town. Swindon once was a very noisy, albeit at times violent away day. It is a pretty good example of how moving fans from a now demolished enclosure / Town End to the Stratton Bank pacifies support. There are numerous posters who state the design of stands does not affect fans e.g Stands don't sing. Trips to Swindon appear to suggest otherwise.
