Rob k
The Cinnamon in Inverness is pretty good. Mind you, it is north of the river I tried the Rajah when I was there last time, nice food but we were basically asked to leave at 11pm as the staff clearly wanted to go home!!! Craven arms
I like the Taj in winterbourne In my opinion I cant agree, I had a chicken jalfrezi from there the consistency was very dry and the pilar rice was like bread crumbs

If you wanted the authentic, you should have gone with Pilau Rice instead I've been going to Taj Brasserie for years and have always loved it. Recently though, the standard of the meat isn't quite as good. That's where Shadin (Staple Hill) comes in when I want a takeaway.
Kid in the Riot
Shout out for Spice Inn, Long Ashton. Consistently very good.
Red-Robbo
For those of a more mid-Somerset persuasion, I'd like to recommend the Mughal Empire in Shepton Mallet. The decor is trad, but the food and service beats the trendier restaurants hands down.

As I know you tend you struggle with the heat. Normally resulting in lot of your signature.
'Orns
Not Indian, but if any of you lot are ever at Kingsholm for Bristol / Bath games check out Na Lampang for some really good Thai food. It's right opposite the gates to Kingsholm too, so it's got a bloody good view of rugby church too Bit far out for most on here, but if you ever find yourselves in the Dursley area the Dil Raj is excellent

Last used it about 2 years ago and the meat was like rubber and the currys all tasted the same and had next to no flavour or texture!
