chipdawg
Afternoon all, I'm down in Bristol tomorrow and have a ticket for the big match! The wife is intending to spend our hard-earned cash while I'm not looking and will be spending some time at the shops. She doesn't know Bristol at all, so I'm trying to figure out where to park so she won't get lost walking to Broadmead to do some shopping and I won't have an hours walk before and after the game to get back to the car! Any suggestions?
exAtyeoMax
if you park in the Galleries you could always get the 24/25 bus from outside Primark to The Gate? Most free on street parking is a long way from town
Ashtonboy
Park in the Park and Ride on the A4 Portway at Avonmouth. You catch the special to AG and she catches the Broadmead bus. Simples!

Not heard of this service before, could be of use

Admin phantom Posted November 21, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted November 21, 2014 I've cracked it! Your Mrs drops you off at the ground, and goes off shopping. You enjoy another home win and a couple of pints with your mates after the game, the wife can then pick you up after? Sure she won't mind
chipdawg
I'm getting the distinct impression that you lot all have far less stubborn and far more reasonable wives than me. Plus, if she thought there were pints on offer after the match she'd be there drinking them. Galleries and bus is looking most likely at the minute

Mad Cyril
Afternoon all, I'm down in Bristol tomorrow and have a ticket for the big match! Now this is typical. A little bit of table topping success and all the glory hunters want in. What next, I suppose you will want first sight of the South Stand plans? BRISTOL86
If it's not a silly question why don't you drop her in town, then drive to the BS3 vicinity, park your car, watch the game and then pick her up outside BHS/Ann Summers (delete according to taste) on the way back?
