UK0wnag3
Not if they specify a certain area surely? There is a family block so why not a singing block as there is at the Shed End of the Williams at the moment? Because some former EEers like myself couldn't get into the singing block and now have to sit with the boring farts elsewhere.
UK0wnag3
Hehe. Last time I took the girls, they couldn't wait to tell their mum, "Daddy sweared during the football match!" Sounds like the last time I took the old man
Lack of Action Man
Not sure why some people are so obsessed with having a reserved seat, but each to their own I suppose. But when the new ground is finished it's the perfect opportunity for the club to make sure they cater for each type of fan with ample choice of where to stand/sit. Eg - A large family area (preferable not next to away fans) An area for for people that like to sit and analyse the game A large area for singers to gather, where they can stand, swear and wave flags etc (hopefully the new eastend) An area for the corporate types There will be plenty of space for every type of fan, hopefully the club get it right even if it takes a couple of seasons for everything to settle down. Spot on. The reality is that a football fan isn't just one generic category of person, people enjoy going to the football for different reasons. As you mention some, like myself, like to watch the game intently without being overly voiceferous, whilst others enjoy congregating together and having a laugh and a sing. The club has the opportunity to engage all types of fan when New Ag is finished and I firmly hope they choose to do so.
