Dollymarie
Hello everyone, for those who aren't local to Bristol or who haven't seen the news about Sunday listen up. This weekend sees the 150th anniversary of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, and on Sunday there will be a fireworks display at 7pm. However, a bunch of roads around AG will be closed from 4:30pm which considering our game doesn't kick off until 2pm means things will be a bit tight at the end of the game for people wanting to get away. Below are the roads that will be closed and the times they are closed from. On December 7, the bridge itself and Suspension Bridge Road will be closed to all roadway traffic from 8am until 10pm. This includes all vehicles, cyclists and horses. Pedestrians will still be allowed to use the footways, and cyclists will be allowed to wheel bicycles along them, until 5pm. Between 4.30pm and 10pm the Portway, Hotwell Road, Cumberland Basin Road, Bennett Way, Bridge Valley Road and Brunel Lock Road will be closed to all vehicles. Access for residents will only be possible from Sylvan Way, with exit via Riverleaze and Roman Way. Between 5pm and 9pm the bridge will be closed to pedestrians, for health and safety reasons. Between 5.30pm and 10pm Brunel Way, Bristol Gate, Jessop Underpass, Humphry Davy Way, McAdam Way and Clifton House Road will be closed to vehicles. Between 6pm and 9pm Sion Hill will be closed to vehicles. Just thought people coming down for Sunday's game ought to bear the following in mind when they are heading home. Port Said Red
Thanks Dolly, useful for someone like myself who parks around Cumberland Basin for a normally easy getaway. I will have to think of an alternative now.

Admin phantom Posted December 2, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted December 2, 2014 Someone could tweet this to Telford.. There is someone from A&S that tweets info to the opposition club and supporters, usually the day before a game about where to drink / park / avoid etc - assume he will do this as per normal
