Let Me In!

Dreadful from Spurs last night only opening two gates apparently for 4,200 Newcastle fans. People could have easily been crushed, etc.

Seems not only us who have these problems!!

Annoyingly i've been away to City games where the same happened, one that stands out was QPR away when the police were keeping us back with the ground in sight for no reason. We got in about 30 minutes into the first half and were already a goal down! Cheers then.

I remember when we took over 1,000 to MK Dons old hockey stadium on a Friday night and they only had one turnstile open, hundreds of City fans were still outside when Steve Brooker scored the only goal of the game in the first minute :grr:

I was outside when Brooker scored! There must have been 250-300 more after me. Took about 1300 that night I think.

Probably a Met Police thing, I remember that day well at QPR.

The OB were generally OTT and overly aggresive all day.

Remember drinking in a pub (sadly now a Costa) by Goldhawk Road tube station with a few mates when we were told to "move on" by police at a ridiculously early time (we drank in the same pub many other times away from football so the owner and staff knew us), before we were marched away from Loftus Road back toward Sheppards Bush common.

Remember diving into a wine bar as we could see a the OB were taking a big interest in an Irish Bar on the corner by the Sheppards Bush Empire.

Recall standing there and seeing people being physically pushed back into the wine bar, before police on horseback blocked the exits to the pub to stop anyone entering or leaving, until the OB chose.

Again we got rounded up about 1430 and all City fans who were drinking in the area were kettled into one group, the escort was so slow to the ground that you could tell they deliberately wanted us to be as late as possible to the game

We were eventually walked past the old TV centre, where I will always remember seeing a police medic push some old guy off a kerb and subsequently twisting his ankle, the irony being the same officer was the one to assist the guy.

When we eventually got to the first turnstile the police then realised that many of us were in the top tier which we were at the wrong end of the stand, so we were again marched around the back of the stand to our turnstile getting in just before half time - I vowed never to go back to Loftus Road again after that day !

Was at the game between these two last night and said to my mate who's a spurs fan who had said that Newcastle had sold out " for a sell out that looks extremely empty" ... Filled up twenty minutes later

Shocking decision whoever handled this and should've thought the wiser as they already knew the away end was sold out !

Remember a guy giving it the v's by the tv centre, city mob pushed the police back and this kid shat himself when the OB waived the truncheon at him and gave him a good telling off!

Police were massively OTT, we were being marched by walkabout it might have been. My mate tried joining us and a copper grabbed him breaking two of his fingers in the process!!
