Really hope we get this Daniel Bentley lad. Seems like a great player for now and the future. Only trouble is competing with the likes of Cardiff, Brentford, Millwall and Leeds!

Didn't he come from Brentford?

Can't see why he'd chose Millwall over us right now, and the other two are cluster****s - I think we'd stand a chance

SC has hinted on City website that two more may be coming in next week.

My hunch, if this happens, is a keeper and striker.

And if my hunch is correct, I believe that Bobbie Reid and possibly Jordan Wynter will go out on loan. There is also a possibility of Dave Richards going on loan to get game time.

Think Reid has already gone back to Plymouth, had he not?

And agree; could see Wynter going out too.

The lad did well for Cheltenham apparently, and with him out of contract here in the summer, I don't see him staying here, so would be good for him to go and get games, possibly at that level again, in order to try and win a contact somewhere this summer.

Part of me feels sorry for him; looked half decent early doors last year, only for the team's prolonged winless run under SO'D to see him disappear and not really get a look in when we needed experience to keep us up.

He's young enough to still build a decent career though, and if he does leave, at least he's got the positive of having spent time (even if not playing much) in a team on a great run, so will have that on his CV.
