Was it really 1969?

 

Only my 2nd away game as a 14 year old, went on the train with 2 other lads - we travelled independently & not with other

City fans and on leaving Upton Park tube station the 3 of us were pelted with bricks/stones by the West Ham welcoming committee as soon as they saw our red and white scarves. Nice!

City played well but WHU - who included Bobby Moore - ran out 3-2 winners, we got a later train back and the City team and Alan Dicks were on the same train.

I remember Chris Garland was the only one not "enjoying the buffet bar" - Bobby Kellard was completely hammered!
