formerly known as ivan
Not seen much about him on here. What were peoples first thoughts? I thought he done well and looked calm and composed against superior opposition. Nice early signs of a decent additional to the squad.

I thought he done well and looked calm and composed against superior opposition. Nice early signs of a decent additional to the squad. Part of a midfield that dominated but a couple of shaky touches. On the whole decent (to borrow a Bradford phrase).
BITW
Thought he looked pretty tidy on the ball and put some good challenges in. Couple of slightly dodgy passes but otherwise did well.
archie andrews
a left footed todd kanemight take a few more games to get up to speed and then I think he'll be class
glynriley
Looked good. If he can maintain that level, I'd like to see him come in as a replacement for Eliott next season.
RedM
I was impressed. Mature beyond his years and looked like he had been here for a while, not the new youngster he is. I liked him very much, very confident on the ball and fits in great to our passing team

Lew-T
I thought he looked very good. Only made one bad pass all game, apart from that, cool and collected!
chipdawg
Hmmm... I didn't think he looked that great, but it's early days and I'm sure he'll be a great signing
fka dagest
I liked his composure and decision making excepting that awful pass at the beginning of the second half.
Super
Thought he did ok but I would of preferred Wade in the team.
Dastardly and Muttley
First half, Saville, Smith and Freeman commanded the midfield. Saville looked good when he got the ball, composed and easy on the ball. Didn't see any rash tackles of the kind we were warned to expect by Wolves & Brentford fans. Second half, he tired. A few poor touches, definitely not as solid as first half. Overall, settled in well. Looks like he's been here a while and I can see him becoming a key player. Looks like another good signing on the basis of this game.
exAtyeoMax
thought he did well after a nervy start. Looking forward to seeing him play more, think he is a great addition to the team
Pezo
It will be interesting to see him in the league. Could be a quality backup to Wade.
Cider Queen
Anyone think he looked a bit like Andre Schurrle from Chelsea? Thought he had a good game . Not bad for a 21 year old!
Aaron-Bcfc
It will be interesting to see him in the league. Could be a quality backup to Wade. Love Wade, but based on his recent performances I expect Saville to cement a place in the first team sooner rather than later. Very impressed with him today. GrahamC
Looked good. If he can maintain that level, I'd like to see him come in as a replacement for Eliott next season. As usual we agree. Not going to lie, I couldn't place him at all when we signed him on loan (unlike Tavernier) but he looked a shrewd arrival to me today. Tall, left footed, a decent user of the ball, our track record on recruits has gone up several notches since Keith Burt joined us.
Maltshoveller
Said on the BBC that he is a box to box midfielder who will run all day Then Wolves did all the pre season fitness tests he was the top man
sh1t_ref_again
Looked good, but would have preferred Pack, thought when pack came on his passing was excellent and got us moving forward quicker

Londoner
Can anyone tell me what saville did that pack couldn't? I've seen Saville run games and look the best player on the park....never seen that from Pack.
LondonBristolian
In truth I barely noticed Saville today but I think that's maybe how it should be with the role he was being asked to play. He was tidy, efficient and kept things ticking over without being showy or drawing attention to himself and there's definitely something to be said for that. I was impressed with Saville and to answer your question, I thought he linked up better with Smith and Freeman than Pack does. I rate Pack but I reckon he plays a bit deeper, so when he came on the midfield was not quite so tight as it was with Saville there. But with Elliot and Smith and Pack and now Saville we have something we have not had for a long time and that is a good midfield, with options/cover. eric04
He broke up some west ham attacks and was quietly efficient I thought.
Lew-T
Can anyone tell me what saville did that pack couldn't? I can see your point mate but like others have said, George Saville is proven at this level and at the age of 21! Think this guy has more potential to grow. Lack of Action Man
Wasn't overly impressed with his on the ball contribution but feel that he's one of these players that do the ugly or unseen side of the game, kind of like a league 1 Nemanja Matic. At 21, he could develop and I'm all for nurturing young players so more than happy to give him time to grow.

Puckle_red
I've not seen Pack have a game where I thought 'he needs to play'. Saville had a Carrick-like composure on the ball allowing Freeman to get forward and start attacks. I'd still have Wade in front of him as first choice, but from yesterday and his cameo at S****horpe Saville would be a solid 2nd choice for me.
