I reckon the best way to judge away support would be:

Distance travelled in miles x attendance = "fan miles" (I'm making it up as I go along)

Leeds to Blackburn is only 57 miles. 57 x 6800 = 387,600 fan miles

Bristol to MK Dons is 107 miles. 107 x 5109 = 546,663 fan miles

So we win!

Using your formula Hartlepool taking 88 fans to Plymouth probably win hands down!!!

That's indisputable.  Except 6k Cambridge to Manure.

Therefore, I'd like to add a further factor into the "away support" equation.

Multiple the "fan miles" total by the position of the home team in the Football pyramid giving the "real fan miles" total.

Cambridge:  6k * 151 * 4 = 3624000

Bristol City: 5.1k * 107 * 47 = 25647900

Oh, we seem to win.  Again.

PS CBA to do Leeds to Blackburn.  But we win.  Again.

I like it Chivs. Only problem with your modification is that if someone took a minibus-full to Rovers, they would smash it!

Good point.  Well made.  But, has anyone actually taken a minibus to a Rovers game?

I bet they don't average 6k at HOME games, and as it's the Cup, factor in a minus tariff for "glory hunters" ! :shifty:

Fair play all that went. My nephew-in-law, a 6 year old who was sobbing inconsolably into the settee arm after us losing vs West Ham absolutely loved it! (Only wished we scored so he could've witnessed a 5000 strong cider army losing their shit first hand, but that doesn't matter).

We are Bristol City. We are the People.

Leeds are absolute shit in every sense of the word.. We, however are having one of our best seasons ver.

So I think, by all accounts they do win.
