fanjita
Anyone know the best underground station for the stadium? There seems to be a choice of either Wembley park or Wembley stadium
Aizoon
Neither. Wembley Stadium from Marylebone by Network Rail. Marylebone is walking distance from Paddington.
New2City
I went on a lark to one of the WC qualifiers last October (2013)... took the bakerloo line to Wembley Central and walked the rest of the way
Kid in the Riot
Wembley Park for our side of the stadium, metropolitan line from Baker St (also walkable from Paddington or jump on the circle)

walnutroof657
I'm actually a train driver for Chiltern Railways (and exiled bristolian) and for all wembley events we run special services non stop from Marylebone which take around 10 minutes to Wembley Stadium station which as the name suggests is right next door. Marylebone is 5 minutes from Paddington on the Bakerloo line or if your feeling slightly more energetic a 10 minute walk. This option is easier than the Metropolitan line services to Wembley Park particularly when coming from Paddington. It is possible to buy through tickets to Wembley stadium station and this will include the Bakerloo line connection Also for anyone driving services also stop at Gerrards Cross station which is close to the M25 and where there is plenty of parking which would be a lot easier than trying to park near the stadium
Welcome To The Jungle
Wembley Park for the walk up Wembley way obviously
bcfcshorey
Wembley Park gives you the traditional walk down Wembley Way... walking out from the tube station gives a great view of the stadium
Aizoon
Wembley Park gives you the traditional walk down Wembley Way... walking out from the tube station gives a great view of the stadium Which is massively unimpressive compared with the old stadium

Last time a friend drove and we parked at Denham station which is one or two stops closer to Wembley. Since we were going against the flow, we were straight on a train after the game from Wembley Stadium station (overground) and back on the M25 within an hour of the final whistle. This time we are doing it by train and have allowed time to visit a few pubs on the walk between Paddington and Marylebone.

Admin phantom Posted February 21, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted February 21, 2015 Is that near Olympic Way? It is Olympic Way, just for some reason always seems to be called wrong name. Only know this as have an office on Olympic way
RedM
View from Wembley Park station towards Wembley, looking up Olympic way, you have to go down the steps and under the road and it's a straight walk to the stadium.
RedM
And from the stadium by the Booby Moore statue looking back up to Wembley Park station, up through the middle of the red flags in the distance. It's a longish walk but will be busy and lots to see so you won't really notice it, would get soaked if raining though!
