Extra Point For The City?

After years of seeing our goal difference being +1 or -10. Looking at the table today we have the best goal difference in the division.

City          +34

MK Dons +33

PNE         +23

Swindon   +22

So not only are we 11 points clear of 3rd place, and 24 points  clear of 6th place, with 12 games to go. If at the end of the day we are equal on points for the championship or promotion place. Our goal difference will see us over the line.It does make you wonder what size crowds we could have pulled in this season if we had a complete ground.

As they say it's ours to throw away, we just need to keep picking up points, and if we do lose the odd match, just by the 1 goal..

UP THE CITY.

chances are though, should we be separated by goal difference our corresponding slump in form would've eliminated our currently slender lead in GD.

Never the less in my my time as a City fan (admittedly not long) don't think we've ever been this far into a season with the best GD in the division (might be wrong, remember in 07-08 we had something like +3 haha)

It's been a joy to watch a decent defence this season; a big contributor for this huge improvement in G.D.

Some of the defending over recent seasons has been truly dreadful.

Some of our defending earlier in the season was pretty awful too (we just out scored teams) but SC has definitely improved our defensive capability this season. In fact i'D say it's been a work in progress.

Its a sign of how well we have done that we have pulled back MK's superior GD. Weren't they 10 goals ahead of us a few weeks ago? Just goes to show that our consistency is better than winning 7-0 and then losing a few.
