I really don't expect to read political propoganda on otib! Communism my arse, we allow these greedy bastards to rob all of the lower league academies when it suits them, but 'we are not a charity Scudamore' and rest of the premiership mafia won't allow any of that money to filter through to the lower leagues, it's scandalous. How long before we see the first 1mil a week player FFS.

JM91
unfortunately this idea is completely and utterly flawed. It will go the other way, collective sale of broadcasting rights is being investigated by Ofcom for being anti-competitive and clubs acting as cartels. what will happen is the richer clubs will seek to sell their own tv rights, leaving the bottom 12 Premier League teams in the same boat as the rest of us. FSF and the like are simply not aware of the more intricate details of broadcasting rights and while their heart is in the right place they are simply nothing more than complaining dunces. Two great teams, a couple of average ones and 16 motley collections of journeymen. Hooray for two good games a season . Add that to the creeping idea of premier league 'B' teams competing in the lower leagues (see next years JPT) and you see how the next 10-20 years of football may pan out

One of the main reasons for the formation of the PL was for the rich clubs to take more of the broadcast revenue (prior to PL it was Div 1: 50%, Div 2: 25%, Div 3 and 4 12.5% each)

Means that atm there is less of an incentive for the top 6 teams to strike out on their own.
