BobBobSuperBob
Really rate both Ward-Prowse & Nathan Redmond If given their chance will 'produce' much more than Jack Wilkshire and a couple more
Roger Red Hat
Great game! Hopefully we'll be in the hat to host some U21's when the stadium is complete.
BS15_RED
Great game! Hopefully we'll be in the hat to host some U21's when the stadium is complete.I remember going to the U21 v Romania back in 2007, pretty sure there was over 10,000 in there that day. Didn't we have another U21 game v Azerbijan in 2010 also?
And Its Smith
Really rate both Ward-Prowse & Nathan Redmond If given their chance will 'produce' much more than Jack Wilkshire and a couple more Couldn't agree more. Ward-Prowse must be close to full squad.....especially if Barkley can get in it.
The Bard
Couldn't agree more. Ward-Prowse must be close to full squad.....especially if Barkley can get in it. The only explanation for Ward-Prowse being in the under 21s and Barkley in the full squad is media pressure. Watch them and it is clear that Ward-Prowse is a far more developed and mature player. They are a similar age with similar EPL appearances yet one is lauded as the next Gazza whilst the other is lucky enough to be learning his trade out of the spotlight in a better team with a better manager. Really, both should be in the under 21s for the summer tournament then be in contention for the seniors and France 2016. However, this is England and bullshit rules. TNBT
Was a good game from the 60 or so minutes I watched before making myself a couple bacon rolls & it changing channels then forgetting it was on, Gutted missed our other goals, agree about Redmond and Ward-Prowse being great talents along with a couple of others that I didn't get the names of as had tunes on doing other stuff. Ward-Prowse is more consistently effective than Barkley, but Barkley has the ability to do something extraordinary. The fact that Barkley doesn't do that more often is a prime example of this countries talent for identifying a precocious player and ruin them Completely agree with your second point though; they should both be in the u21s. England are winning their group at a canter, the over age players at our disposal are more than good enough. All the under 21 players should be kept together through a tournament cycle then the best ones integrated into the senior team. Given that we have 12 months between the u21 and senior euros, it seems unnessecary to start building them up too early
