Of course he would be retiring, despite feeling that he still has a couple of seasons left in him yet and having made the decision to give up his dream job, of course an approach from the irresistible footballing power house that is Bristol City, could certainly make him back track on on such a decision and no doubt take the minuscule fraction of his previous salary that would make him affordable.
