glynriley
Am sure that I read there were only 5 English keepers on the Premier League. Joe Hart - Man City Rob Green - QPR Jack Butland - Stoke Tom Heaton - Burnley Who was the other? Not really alot of competition ! Ben Foster - injured

Tauntonian
Always rated the lad here. No idea how people can knock his time here, he was always solid despite the Shyte defence infront of him.

And Its Smith
My main criticism of Heaton was how he was stuck on his line when facing long shots. He was rarely out to narrow the angle. I guess Billy Mercer has worked with him on that at Burnley.
BCFC Jordan
Top bloke, and a rare shining light in the 2012/13 season. Conceded 80+ goals and still deservedly got Player of the Season. Can only wish him well.
Guest
I hope the Evening Post are going in to full on 'Rickie Lambert' mode for us about this? Excellent point! Doubt it.
BRISTOL86
Pleased for Heaton. Petr Cech would have struggled with the dross he had in front of him here. But looking at that squad it's laughable how far we are behind the big nations.
simon uk
Did heaton single handedly get us relegated? Nope, but he had little impact on any attempt to stay up. Championship level keeper, who should be no where near the england squad.forster hart and butland are the best 3 by some distance if you ask me. JamesBCFC
Wasn't able to watch us often during the relegation season (got to 2 games, we won both scoring 9 goals and conceding 5) but was at the open training day and you could see heaton was a good shot stopper then, I think having confidence in the players in front of you is very important for a goalkeeper

One Team In Keynsham
Hart will be keeper for many many years. You are likely spot on, and it is a depressing thought that he is the best we can find.

stortfordred
Though on form he is a hell of a lot better than Sterling and Walcott. I'm better than Sterling!!! Overrated to$$er
The dastardly red
Wayne Rooney is way better than average and I actually think that this England team can do something

SecretSam
He's been outstanding for Burnley this season, and for the record I always rated him when he was with us, could never believe the flak he got. As for Wilshere and Walcott being in the team - sure, when fit and on form, great players. But they play for Arsenal, the Physios' favourite team. What is it about Wenger's methods that sees SO many players injured all the time?
