Never Mind Bringing Players In

I worry Joe Bryan will go before the deadline, the best player on the pitch before we went down to 10 men today.

He had their right back on toast, especially in first half. Was a bit surprised he was MOM, was half expecting Kodjia.

You're right though, especially as left back/lwb is such a specialist position. Bournemouth were interested. What would be his value realistically? Especially as we don't need to sell our assets.

kodjia was my MoM though

thought he showed up well, flashes of what's to come hopefully, I know he is just getting used to new country club style of play etc but he certainly needs to work on his finishing, for me it was between him and Bryan for mom and think Bryan just edged it although he did look like he was struggling a bit 2nd half (injury or unfit)

But how many teams play wing backs in the prem? I believe he will be a quality left back in the future. But not only does he not play left back, or left wing, but he has only played well for 45 minutes so far in the championship. Cannot see clubs paying millions for him without being more sure what they are getting.

If I were concerned about losing anyone, it would be Korey Smith. He looks potentially premier league quality, he's that good.

Really? He looked very much like a work in progress.

His style looks like bambi on ice which doesn't help, but his finishing was woeful, especially the few shots in the second half.

My gut feeling was I've seen much much better in a red shirt at AG but it's very early days.

Wow. Very harsh. I thought he was excellent. Some of them were half chances at best that he still managed to make an attempt of.

He will score plenty once people get on his wavelength on yesterday's showing.

Probably is a little harsh, but his control of the ball was very poor on at least 6 occasions I saw. Scuffing a similar number of shots badly means MoM is elsewhere for me.

I'm not bashing him, he worked his socks off which is a key ingredient.

He had a brilliant first half where he constantly beat the right back . What is great is when he crosses he looks up and picks a player .

He also tried a few shots which if he scores a few before the window closes then we should definitely worth .

Kodjia had a great game , considering he is a rough diamond he played very well. Yes he missed a few chances but he made half of those .

Look at baldocks league one goal scoring season. He s in his 2nd game in the championship and already seems on the same wave length as his team Mates

I thought Joe tweaked his knee again stretching in a tackle late in the second half. He jumped up like he had been bitten and after that he wasn't so effective. He looked like the player that had the best understanding with Kodjia,

I thought Kodjia's body language wasn't good, looked like he wan't very happy to be here...

On your second point. He was smiling a lot from my pitch side position - I think he's happy enough. He does seem to conserve energy without the ball if you know what I mean. This might look like he's not particularly interested.

I thought kodjia looked very good: great pace, got himself into decent positions but, his personality seems very excitable so, when the chance occurs he snaps at it as he wants to score so bad especially the two chances he took first time that both went over in the edge of the box. Whereas if agard was in those positions he would of taken a touch and hit it hard and low on target. Composure I believe is something he will have to work on.

Good point, that. Almost trying a little bit too hard which I think came off as lack of composure. When you look at his goals for Angers, I'd say he looked very composed - familiar surroundings and already impressing the fans probably helps.

I just really hope our fans give him the time to settle he will need - SC has alluded to this in public. I think he'll prove a very good signing.

He was absolutely ecstatic to have scored as well, which is always nice to see.

Why would bournemouth be interested after splashing 8m on Mings?

I thought it seemed like he was under instruction not to pressurise their back line constantly, especially when we went down to 10.

It's obviously not his natural game in the same way it is Agard's.

Impressed with him yesterday and think he'll get better.
