GrahamC
When you say the old first division do you mean our four years in the top flight? If so we certainly were not amongst the highest payers at all..
TheCulturalBomb
Did we just win the League One Championship and JPT? And considered to many pundits to be one of the best, if not the best performing side in the Football League last season?
Guest
Did we just win the League One Championship and JPT? And considered to many pundits to be one of the best, if not the best performing side in the Football League last season? Doesn't that just show the vast gulf between the Prem / Championship and Leagues 1 and 2. The Prem is the promised land, and many of the clubs in the Championship have recently been there and reaped the reward, wether they have then used those rewards sensibly is another matter. We are a very small fish in a backwater stream of a very large pond, to survive in that pond we need to match up to the big boys and try and survive and develop a team to challenge for the big prize. We have bid big money for two players who have both declined to join us, entirely up to them, they as pros obviously don't rate us, we need to convince those type of players we are worth joining, no easy task given the sharks in our pond.
