In or On?

Quite clearly, it's "on" Steepholm and "in" Australia, but where's the boundary?

Is it "in" the Isle of Wight? "on" Anglesey? Enquiring minds need to know...

Ok, I'll take a stab at this but I could easily be wrong. 'On' for both Anglesey and the Isle of Wight.

Use 'in' if you are referring to an island which is a country, so you would be in Australia, in Cuba, in Iceland, or in the UK. Use 'on' in all other cases.
