Port Said Red
Really? Why were there so many empty seats in both the South Stand (about 3/4 full) and the Atyeo, (we had empty seats above below and either side of us)?
JoeAman08
I was thinking the same as well. Sure the season ticket holders that don't show up make a difference but surely we weren't missing 2000 or so of them. Couldn't have been a sellout. Laner
I'm guessing the block in the South Stand was empty because of the huge crane which would have restricted any view? Not sure about Atyeo though?
BS3_RED
The capacity this season is not based on how many seats are available but on the lack of exits I assume.
Barrs Court Red
A fair few have admited buying an extra child's ticket, essentially reserving a seat next to them which they can then "upgrade" each time a mate wants to go. How widespread this is I don't know, but It's one factor to consider.

Super
Who said it was a sell out? Plenty of seats left on Friday in the atyeo.

It's easy to do you do it at the ticket window at the Ashton Road end and costs the balance between the price per game for the season tickety and the cost of the match ticket. 1960maaan
My mate tried to buy his Dad a ticket near us, lower Williams , and the nearest was 4/5 rows away. We got there and there were plenty around us
Kid in the Riot
Maybe some fans are voting with their feet...plus the time of year, clearly plenty just didn't bother turning up.
Lanterne Rouge
Lady and her son up from me weren`t there - she did say v Hull she had family coming from up country for the weekend so wouldn`t be. That time of year I suppose
Ashtonboy
It was the empty seats all around the ground ( not just the Dolman) well before the final whistle that was the saddest and most worrying.

Maybe its more to do with the restrictions of movement around the old Williams?
