newboy Posted June 23, 2004 Report Share Posted June 23, 2004 I've thought about it... now that the recipient of his passes is being replaced, why does that make Aaron's presence any less relevant? Why would he suddenly become ineffective simply because he's passing to X instead of Y? You could argue that Aaron's strength was running down the wing and then lofting the ball into the box. Now that Miller with his aerial strength is more likely (?) to get more play Aaron is needed more than ever.. If it was the other way around and Peacock relied upon Aaron and Aaron was going first, I could understand your 'logic' if you said that it would make sense for Peacock to go - but even then it would still be tenuous...
