CiderCraig
A friend suggested a workaround for this problem. So I logged on to aforementioned ' dodgysite.com ', but weirdly it is still yet to redirect me to m.bbc.co.uk I'll leave it a couple more weeks before ringing my mate again., just to be sure... Will look later. If a vendor has soft porn on the wall under the Dolman they'll make them close and sod off. No difference at all.
Septic Peg
I've been getting similar crap appear too. CotswoldRed
OPEN LETTER TO ADAM BAKER. sent today (they've had long enough to get a grip in my opinion) Hi Adam OPEN LETTER It been many weeks (and probably months) since mobile.bcfc.co.uk has been delivering questionable and pornographic content. This has been made known to you recently and the problem still persists. Can you please take some decisive action TODAY to either: Remove the virus from the server Disable the mobile version of the website. It is getting quite embarrassing that the club has known about this for some time but is unable or unwilling to do much about it to effect a permanent solution. A significant proportion of site users are children and I’m amazed at the relaxed attitude taken. You may have dealt with it temporarily when it was flagged to you previously, but there is no way the club is monitoring the situation. Regards xxxx

I think/presume we upload the content but everything stored/ran from elsewhere. I don't think Adam can do much about it other than pass it on. Like I said, could be wrong. I think/presume we upload the content but everything stored/ran from elsewhere. I don't think Adam can do much about it other than pass it on. Like I said, could be wrong. I think we are misunderstanding the nature of business here. Many companies have their website run out of house. If their site is delivering pornography to customers then they demand the supplier deals with it. There is no excuse. None whatsoever. Given the nature if the problem, a shrug of the slopey shoulders won't suffice. It is fundamental to any business that they know their websites are secure. Why else would customers use them if they are felt to be compromised. If a relaxed attitude from the business in question prevails then I cannot see the logic sharing personal or credit card details with them. Can you? This happens all too often. My own daughter's secondary school has (possibly now had) an insecure website used by pupils. I pointed this out and - for the life of me - I couldn't get them to understand the severity of the situation. I could access (rather, I was presented with) the details of every child there and personal data wasn't encrypted upon delivery - I'm sure someone with wrong intentions could have gone further and accessed things they shouldn't have access to. Since then I have asked that my children be removed from their online systems as the school (like so many businesses) really don't care to understand what they are dealing with. They even asked me "what should we do?" Oh, and that school website is used by hundreds (probably thousands) of schools. Lip service.
CotswoldRed
A quick update from Adam (thanks Adam for responding so quickly): Hi xxxx, Thanks for your e-mail. The problematic ad server was removed and went away, but reappeared at the weekend – at which point I lodged another complaint with the Football League. Rest assured we are taking this seriously and are considering option 2 if this is not sorted properly this time.

CrazyInWeston
I dont usually use my mobile to log onto the BCFC website. Now I have Firefox for Android on my phone, so I dont get any ads (because I've installed the uBlock extension which blocks all ads) Tried multiple times on my phones Chrome browser, only get a Sky Bet ad banner at the bottom. So I tried clicking a link to the BCFC website from Twitter and what do I get? A full screen advert claiming my ex is calling me. Pfft I wish, and its NOT a bloke either . These types of ads are the same type you'd get from porn websites. Disgusting. I think the problem here is that clicking links from Twitter and Facebook, that it loads up a sort of basic basic web browser. Its certianly not my Firefox that loads up or even chrome. No not at all, actually if you go back through this thread (or possibly a similar one) you will see that I have mentioned the same problem - It's not on at all, and in fact when I first encountered the problem my 7 year old nephew was looking over my shoulder. Thankfully I was quick enough to be able to shut it down without him noticing. What I'm saying though is that I don't think Adam is directly responsible for sorting the problem - it's done through a third party. By all means complain but don't hold him personally responsible if the problem still exists.
CotswoldRed
UPDATE from Adam Baker. He has asked if anyone is still seeing these issues to communicate details and, if possible, to share a screenshot. Personally, I got the Facetime screen today in Chrome via Android. This always affects me on the home screen (and possibly others if I went further). My own personal view is the FL supplier hasn't a scooby what its doing. If the server is fully patched and has antivirus running then I'm surprised it is dragging on. The Football League response asked the following of Adam - probably makes sense to share any screenshots/info with Adam directly - adam.baker@bcfc.co.uk : "Could you please let us know is this the Face-time time that appears on gallery pages or any other advert. Please note we have stopped the adverts that were serving inappropriate content. In case there are instances of inappropriate content still being served, would request you to send a screenshot or the page where you are getting the issue, this would help us investigate further.
