GrahamC
By my reckoning the first goalkeeper from the academy ever to appear in the first team and the first keeper to come through the club ranks to do so since Steve Phillips (yes, I know he was at Paulton but that's local to me). Anyway, best of luck to him, apart from making me feel very old (he looks about 14 if you are in your fifties) he genuinely seemed thrilled about playing for what he called his "boyhood club". Bless him.
Phileas Fogg
Real baptism of fire too. Imagine how he must have felt at half time! Would have learned a great deal from the experience and will improve his game. Always good to see an academy boy coming through, best of luck Max! EstoniaTallinnRed
In the interview with Oskins after the game, he said he has been with City since he was 8. also that his Dad couldn't make the game today, the first game he's missed this season, so he missed his son's debut. What a shame.
Robin1988
Miles better than JoJo. Could actually have a future at City.

Good for him to have this experience, can only help him in the future. Step up and be the challenge to Frankie!

samo II
SC seemed to indicate he'll play Tuesday if Frank is out. Pleased to see academy lads coming through.

I don't think SC even at his grumpiest would rick it unless he had to.

jambodinho
Anthony malessa? Sure he played in a cup game and had a colision that badly injured Lloyd Owusu.

finbarr_in_z
Understandably he looked nervous as hell when he came on. Took an age for his first touch (punched clearance) and even longer for the second. He did well though.

bristolcitysweden
Should have had his debut already when Hamer was cocking it up. Did very well pre season in Portugal. Congratulations Max!

Big call. We talk positively about giving youth a chance, but if he plays and drops a clanger everyone will give Cotts hell.
View from the Dolman
Good to see him getting a chance albeit through Frankie's injury. Seems like a genuinely decent guy, delighted to be playing for his club. Obviously a guy with sporting pedigree with his Somerset CCC connections too. My concern would be with then no cover, if he picks up a knock we would be playing with an out fielder in goal in a crtical game. Just seems a huge risk, unless there is an academy kid we can lump on the bench?
