Tuesday

Good evening,

Sorry to see that late equaliser go in today at West Brom, looked like being a classic FA cup upset in front of a big away following. We had a disappointment ourselves losing to that idiot Westley away at Posh.

Anyway, just wondering what your general thoughts/predictions are for tuesday's game against us?

We're not too sure what to think about the fixture. At times you seem to have played very well, but not picked up points where you shoud've done. We're generally draw specialists, and we're probably better performance wise on the road than at Deepdale, so it's quite hard to call. All Preston vs Bristol City games in the past few seasons have been close calls.

Team news wise - Jermaine Beckford is still out with a knee injury and will be for a few more weeks, Stevie May and Chris Humphrey are out for the entire season with serious injuries. Will Keane has been recalled by Man United(...for some strange reason!), and Jordan Pickford has been recalled by Sunderland, so Sam Johnstone has returned on loan from Man United and will be in nets. Ex-player wise - Callum Robinson will probably be on the bench and Cunningham will almost certainly start.

Transfer wise - we are apparently on the verge of signing Ben Pearson from Man United also so he might possibly be involved in midfield. We're also rumoured to be after Tom Bradshaw from Walsall but I doubt anything's imminent on that front, in fact I think a club with bigger financial capability than us will sign him.

I realise you have a very small squad so it's fairly easy to guess what your team will be, although will Zach Clough be involved/is he likely to sign for you?

Cheers.

Don't forget to make your lot aware about Oskars walk out onto the pitch just before the game. I've bumped the post on your forum again :)

Aye, folk are aware of it. I don't actually post on our forum so cheers for doing that.

We reckon Zach Clough will sign for someone "more attractive" than us, whilst, er, having to live in somewhere up north nowhere near as "nice" as Bristol. That's kind of how it works.

Meantime, we're going to try snapping up the good ones from Exeter last night, because we're still "more attractive" than them. We hope.

Oh, we might make a "cheeky" enquiry for Moyesie (Wednesday, if you trounce us Tuesday), see if he fancies "coming home." It's got to be better than sitting on a sofa talking shop to Clare Balding, we think. He did alright for you lot in this league!

We're not sure if we're "more attractive" than Moyesie himself. All this rejection wears you down after a while. If Moyesie came here would he be able to sign any players? Would Moyesie make us "more attractive"? I think he would, which just goes to show you how "unattractive" we have come since last season.

1:2 to you lot Tuesday. Mark Little sent off for crocking Greg.

(How have you coped with those injuries? Fair play, that's good going)

Preston showing others uow it could be done.

Our squad is wafer thin. Our tactics consist, when we play well, of creating chances in a way that lets the other side also create chances, confident that our fowards are better than theirs.

Last season this worked...

We couldn't at first. At one stage in October we were bottom of the league, but now find ourselves 10 points off the drop. Something has just clicked really, beating Burnley away was big as it showed we could beat any team in the division on our day. Signing of Adam Reach on loan from Boro has also helped as he gives us a bit of width and quality which we were originally desperately lacking.

We beat Boro away at the start of the season but didn't seem to give our lot the same confidence unfortunately.
