myol'man
Found this tucked away in the Mail on Sunday match report; As is so often in the FA Cup, there were sub-plots behind the main narrative. For instance, Bristol City’s travelling army: 5,300 made the trip up the M5, their largest away support in the competition since 1994, when they flocked to Anfield for a third-round replay. City won that 1-0, Liverpool waved goodbye to Graeme Souness and it has taken more than two decades for a similar migration. Then there was the ex-Bristol Rovers factor. The six contentious months which Pulis — a former Rovers player — spent in charge at Ashton Gate will never cease to rankle, which provided plenty of fodder for the chant merchants. Up front for West Brom was another former Rovers stalwart, Rickie Lambert, who gets precious few songs of his own these days and would probably have preferred not to hear the ones which were directed at him. A very unproductive afternoon for the striker ended after an hour, anyway. Made I laugh Some great photos included too; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3391749/West-Bromwich-Albion-2-2-Bristol-City-James-Morrison-s-injury-time-strike-spares-hosts-shock-FA-Cup-round-exit.html Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3391749/West-Bromwich-Albion-2-2-Bristol-City-James-Morrison-s-injury-time-strike-spares-hosts-shock-FA-Cup-round-exit.html#ixzz3wvxgT1yN Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook
