TBW
At the end of the game for a corner why don't we when we're down a goal? Didn't tonight and Fielding has been told not to on a couple of occasions too. I don't get it...

The Journalist
In hindsight, Max O'Leary should've gone up and actually taken the bloody corner.
Bar BS3
Possibly because the last thing we wanted, come the end, was extra time.
sodburyred
I get more annoyed with the fact we never send Flint or Baker up front for the last 10 mins when loosing. How many games under Johnson did we see McCombe sent upfront towards the end of games. A completely different dimension to throw the kitchen sink at them. The sending the goalie up thing I think only really benefits if the goalies are big. O' Leary and Fielding are both quite small. O'Donal might be an optiomn though. Lrrr
I don't get it when teams send the keeper up but leave a defender on the half way line, the keeper should be the last one to go forward, the other 10 should be in or around the box first. Took the words out my mouth Hodge ! Thought I was the only one who thought this Most ridiculous thing going for me (Unless your keeper also happens to head a ball like Cheesley !) Keeper in centre circle, by all means and everyone else forward by all means Glad we don't do the keeper up for the cameras nonsenseA keeper gets involved in a goal once in ??? A hundred times ??? Jack Dawe
I think Max is too young for us to send him up.
Jack Dawe
David James on the other hand, he was experienced enough, and paid enough, to be sent up. Although we were mostly too angry with him to send him up
