where's the joy

Mickey Bell, Tinman and Jim Brennan

can anyone name a better fullback, midfield and wing back combo down our left side than these 3?

right now our left side is very poor.

granted Joe Bryan when he chooses is a velvet crosser of the ball

and it will be good to see Gladwin when match fit go left when he chooses

a traditional full back wouldn't go amiss too

No offence to the OP but WTF does that mean. Talk about modern football........

Oh, and Alan Walsh would **** over allcomers with an ostentatious stepover and his efficacious shot.

Ark at me mind.

And all for 18 big ones

Velvet crosser? Must've been a typo/autocorrect surely? Makes no sense to I.

The joy of the Walshy Shuffle was that everyone in the ground, including the opposition full backs, knew it was coming but could do next to bugger all to stop it.

The man is a legend. A travesty beyond words that he only got to 99 for us. Given our recent troubles filling the bench he would've been worth a contract just to sit alongside el-Bad until we got a pen or free kick he could smash home.

velvet crosser is meant to mean a smooth crosser of the ball as in smooth as velvet

as opposed to crap crosser of the ball as in crap crosser like williams

Apart from last season, which was exceptional, I think "once in a blue moon" is more aptly descript of JB's crossing, than "velvet"
